What happens during the treatment?
A fine needle is used to inject the Botulinum into the underarm. 12 to 20 tiny superficial injections will be carried out under each arm.
When you receive muscle relaxant injections directly into the area of your body that commonly sweats, your overactive nerves are essentially put to sleep. When your nerves can’t signal your sweat glands, you don’t sweat in that area.
Does it hurt?
The tiny needles cause only a mild and very brief (lasting for a second or two) stinging sensation. We can also use numbing cream or ice to relieve discomfort.
Duration?
The treatment lasts up to 15 min. However, consultation & assessment is needed prior, thus your appointment can take up to an hour.
What happens after the treatment?
Once the procedure is finished you can continue with your daily activities as you won’t need any downtime or experience any major pain. On rare occasions, a small number of patients may experience mild swelling, bumps, mild bruising, or redness but these are mild and do not last longer than one week.
