Important Information
Before and After Your Appointment

✔️ You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding before any non-surgical cosmetic, PRP, PDO threads treatment. Our facials and peels are natural herbal based thus safe for pregnant and breastfeeding.

✔️  You must be fit and well prior to your treatment.

✔️  No cold, covid or flu like symptoms

✔️ Hayfever allergies must be well controlled.

✔️  Not other signs of infections – Eg. Urinary, sinus, respiratory, gastrointestinal, dental, skin etc.

✔️  If you have been unwell with antibiotics, it is recommended you schedule your treatment 2 weeks after full recovery.

✔️  You must not be travelling anywhere in the next 2 weeks after the dermal filler treatment.

✔️  You must not have an important event (whereby you cannot have a bruise) for at least 2 weeks.

Before your Medical Cosmetic Treatment appointment:

  1. Do not to consume alcohol as it significantly increases chances of bruising ;
  2. Have a good meal;
  3. Drink enough water to keep your skin hydrated.
  4. Please do not wear makeup.
  5. Let us know ASAP if you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face,
  6. Avoid exposure to the sun as it may make your skin sensitive;
  7. No herbal remedies that increase your bruising risk (unless medically indicated) for 7 days prior to your treatment. These can include fish oils, garlic capsules, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, glucosamine, ginger and turmeric.

After your Medical Cosmetic Treatment:

  1. No rubbing or touching the injected area for 6-8 hours after the treatment
  2. No strenuous exercise for at least 48h hours after
  3. Keep upright for 4 hours 
  4. Avoid headwear or glasses tightly fitted across the treated area
  5. Reduce alcohol consumption to prevent bruising for 24-48 hours
  6. No other facial treatments to the area for 1 week
  7. No active skin care (retinoids / vitamin A / AHAs) products for 48 hours after;
  8. No face down massages for the next 7 days.
  9. Do not massage, press or push the areas injected unless otherwise directed by your practitioner.
  10. The product takes 14 days for full effect and it is recommended to attend a review at this time to assess the treatment outcome.

Before PRP & PRF Treatment:

  • Inform your practitioner if you have any history of medication allergies, anaphylaxis, any other medical problems.
  • Inform about all medication you are currently using.
  • PRP is contraindicated for Pregnancy and Breastfeeding, Acute or Chronic Infections, Skin and Immune Disorders, Cancer and Chemotherapy, Abnormal platelet function or any other blood disorder, Chronic Liver Disease, Anti-coagulation therapy, Sepsis, Smoking, Fever, use of corticosteroids.
  • Avoid consuming Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Ginko Biloba, Fish Oil, Garlic pills, or any other anti-inflammatory medications 1-2 weeks prior to the procedure as they can increase the risk of bruising.
  • Limit consuming alcohol and smoking for at least a week prior to the procedure.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet, avoid fatty and junk foods, minimise coffee.
  • Protect the skin from the sun, as it may be sensitive (which we think should be done every day, regardless!). This could include covering exposed areas, seeking shade when the sun is at its hottest and using a daily sun care product of SPF50.

After PRP & PRF Treatment:

 

  • During the first 24-48h you may experience redness, swelling and bruising in the treated areas. Apply ice frequently as required to the area if needed.
  • To relieve any discomfort or tenderness, you may take pain relief medication like Paracetamol. Always consult us.
  • DO NOT use potentially contaminating facial cosmetics, hair products till area is healed.
  • AVOID scrubbing or wiping the face vigorously for the first 12-24h.
  • AVOID excessive heat, vigorous physical activity for 48h.
  • AVOID any medication or supplements that are blood thinning agents for 1-2 weeks following the procedure as they may exacerbate bruising.
  • Report increasing pain,  redness or any signs of infection.
  • Drink lots of fluids for the first 24-48h after the treatment.

Before PDO Threads treatment

  • Inform your practitioner if you have any history of medication allergies, anaphylaxis, any other medical problems.
  • Inform about all medication you are currently using.
  • PDO threads are contraindicated while Pregnancy and Breastfeeding, for Acute or Chronic Infections, any Skin and Immune Disorders, compromised skin integrity, sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Avoid consuming Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Ginko Biloba, Fish Oil, Garlic pills, or any other anti-inflammatory medications 1-2 weeks prior to the procedure as they can increase the risk of bruising.
  • Limit consuming alcohol and smoking for at least a week prior to the procedure.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet.

After PDO Threads Treatment:

  • Keep the area dry for at least 24-48h, or as recommended. Take necessary precautions to keep the area clean and prevent infection.
  • Place a cold compact (covered in towel) on the area for 5 to 10 min every hour to reduce pain and swelling. You can continue this up to 24h.
  • Take prescribed antibiotics or any other medication as prescribed by your Physician.
  • Contact your Practitioner if you experience any complications including but not limited to: Bruising, Swelling, Mild asymmetry, Skin slough, Headache, Hematoma, Skin Necrosis, Muscle Dysfunction, Infection, Bleeding, Pain, tread extrusion, Skin Dimpling or superficial displacement.
  • DO NOT operate heavy equipment for the day following the procedure.
  • DO NOT Massage the treated area.
  •  DO NOT engage in vigorous physical activity for at least 48h.
  • AVOID excessive heat for at least 3 weeks.
  • DO NOT use potentially contaminating facial cosmetics, hair products till area is healed.

  • AVOID scrubbing or wiping the face vigorously for the first 12-24h
